Links and references to the content provided by external providers are distinguished from the content of ijma-on-slavery.org. For any dispute you may have with ijma-on-slavery.org, you agree to first contact us and try to resolve the dispute informally. If we need to contact you, we will do so with the email address provided through the Inquire form or the email address on your Scholar-Contributor account. We each agree that any claim, dispute, or controversy will be resolved through binding arbitration or in small claims court, if ijma-on-slavery.org is not able to resolve the issue with you informally.
Arbitration is a process where both parties meet with a qualified arbitrator who works similarly to a judge in a courtroom by deciding which party’s argument and case has more merit, and which party should prevail. Binding arbitration means that whatever decision the arbitrator makes will be considered final.
In the event arbitration is necessary, you agree that the dispute shall be referred to the American Arbitration Association for arbitration in accordance with its applicable arbitration rules. All arbitration proceedings shall be held in New York, New York before a single, neutral arbitrator agreed upon by the parties to the dispute or appointed by the American Arbitration Association if the parties to the dispute cannot agree. You agree that judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered by any U.S. court of competent jurisdiction and you agree to be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of New York in the United States for purposes of entering and enforcing any such arbitration award.
This provision and any arbitration conducted pursuant to this provision shall be governed by the United States Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. §§ 1-307).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ijma-on-slavery.org and its affiliates, related entities, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, partners, and licensees from and against any and all claims, suits, proceedings, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses whatsoever, including reasonable attorney fees and disbursements, court costs, or arbitration costs, arising out of your use of or access to the Service or out of your breach or violation of these Terms of Service. Your obligations to indemnify ijma-on-slavery.org shall survive termination of your access to the Service.
These Terms of Service were originally written in English. The English version will remain the standard in the event of conflict between the English and any version translated into any other language.

When creating a Scholar-Contributor account, you agree to provide us with accurate and complete information and you agree to update your information as necessary to maintain its accuracy. You are not allowed to impersonate anyone else or otherwise misrepresent your identity. You are solely responsible and liable for any activity that occurs on your account, and you are responsible for keeping your password and login credentials secure. You agree to notify ijma-on-slavery.org immediately upon becoming aware or suspicious of any unauthorized use of the Service through your Scholar-Contributor account. You agree to indemnify and hold ijma-on-slavery.org and its affiliates, related entities, officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, partners, and licensees harmless from and against any and all claims that may arise from any activity that occurs through your access to the Service.
If any of these Terms or future changes to these Terms are unacceptable to you, you can delete your account at any time by sending an email to email@example.com or by filling out the Contact Admin form at ijma-on-slavery.org/portal/contact-admin.
You acknowledge and agree that all User Content you post using the Service is accessible by ijma-on-slavery.org at all times, and ijma-on-slavery.org reserves the right to remove any User Content from the Service for any reason, without notice, and at its sole discretion, although ijma-on-slavery.org is under no obligation to do so except as required by law and shall not be liable to you or to any other person for doing so or for failing to do so. ijma-on-slavery.org may continue to store User Content removed from the Service, as required by law or for other reasons, but the User Content may not be retrievable by a User without a valid court order. Consequently, ijma-on-slavery.org encourages you to maintain your own backup of your User Content. ijma-on-slavery.org will not be liable for the loss of any User Content.
If your User Content violates these Terms of Service, you may bear legal responsibility. You agree to indemnify and hold ijma-on-slavery.org and its affiliates, related entities, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, partners, and licensees harmless from and against any and all claims that may arise from the User Content that you post using the Service.
You must have permission from ijma-on-slavery.org before publishing User Content posted in the Scholar-Contributor Portal outside of the Service. Such authorized use outside of the Service must properly attribute ijma-on-slavery.org, and Users must notify and receive permissions from all other Users referenced in the post or impacted by it’s publication outside of the Service.
User Content submitted for publication in the Scholar-Contributor Portal is private until published through the Service. The only Users with authorized access to this User Content are the Scholar-Contributors and the Website Administrators. ijma-on-slavery.org will not share with the general public any User Content published to the Scholar-Contributor Portal. Any unauthorized User who gains access to the Portal by any unauthorized means is not allowed to view, duplicate, or share User Content in any way and will be pursued to the maximum extent allowed by law.
You acknowledge and agree that your User Content will be accessible to Scholar-Contributors upon publication through the Service and that ijma-on-slavery.org is not subject to any obligations of confidentiality with respect to your User Content and shall not be liable for the dissemination of User Content that contains confidential or proprietary information.

We reserve the right to remove any comment that violates these terms. If any of your comments are removed, you will be notified by email using the email address associated with your account.
Scholar-Contributors are not allowed to use this website in any manner that is unlawful or in any manner that could inhibit or otherwise negatively affect other Users from enjoying the website. This includes, but is not limited to:
We reserve the right to terminate your account with ijma-on-slavery.org if any of these Terms are violated. Following termination of your account, or if any of your content is removed from the Scholar-Contributor Portal, ijma-on-slavery.org may keep your User Content and account data for a reasonable period of time to effectuate the Service’s business objectives.
